VIDEO GAME REVIEW: WHY
IS A STAR
Stardew Valley is an
entertaining video game where you
own a farm and earn money so that
you can improve it. To earn money,
you can not only cultivate crops and
raise animals but can also go
searching for ores, foraging for wild
vegetables, and fishing for sea
creatures.
In Stardew Valley, your farm is
right next to a small town whose
inhabitants you can interact with and
become friends with. There are also
festivals twice a month, ranging from
summer luaus to winter ice fishing
competitions, with each festival
comprised of unique minigames.
Needless to say, Stardew Valley?s

8-bit animation style belies its truly
in-depth gameplay.
Overall, Stardew Valley is
mostly wholesome, with the
characters in the game all displaying
kind, friendly behavior to the player
and one another. There are a few
moral issues in the game, with alcohol
and mysticism as small plot points of
the game?s story, but the discerning
Christian can easily identify and avoid
these moral shortfalls.
The general wholesomeness
and the amount of content in the
game make Stardew Valley an
incredibly fun, kid friendly farming
simulator that I would wholeheartedly
recommend playing.
