By Rebekah B. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was released in 2010. It is a fantasy action/adventure movie directed by Michael Apted. This movie, starring Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes, and Will Poulter, will have you on the edge of your seat. Here?s a little bit of the movie: Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley) are sent away from their home and family to stay with their annoying cousin, Eustace Scrubb (Will Poulter) until World War II is over. They are all very miserable; until, one day, Lucy finds a magic painting on the wall that transports all three of them to the land of Narnia. In Narnia, Edmund and Lucy are united with their old friends King Caspian (Ben Barnes) and Reepicheep, the mouse, who are on a voyage to find the swords of seven lost lords who were faithful to Caspian?s father who reigned before him. Caspian takes his two friends, along with their cousin, with him on his voyage. You will be thrilled as you watch the crew of the Dawn Treader face great dangers such as storms, slave traders, evil green mist, sea monsters, and more. You will cry when they become reunited with a long-lost friend. I do not recommend this movie for young children as some parts might be a little scary or unsettling; although, the book it is based on is a great family read-aloud. I hope you watch it!
