sometimes lived vicariously through my travels as I got to go to some of the castles she longed to see . I wish I could have taken her with me since she is the one who studied medieval literature . Probably more than these memories are her words of encouragement and wisdom that I will miss the most . I take comfort and can rejoice that my friend is at the feet of Jesus , and I know we will see each other again one day in heaven . -Mrs. Smith
What to say ? Dr . Quint , who always asked me to call her Mary Ellen , was a lovely , lovely human being . She kept track of things like birthdays and anniversaries and always sent cards . When I first started here nine years ago , she had the best advice and many helpful ideas that I am forever grateful for . She made herself available to answer questions and discuss issues whenever we were together . She always surprised me with something new about her interests or what she knew . We talked about Hildegard of Bingen , and just this year learned more about her expertise with herbs and natural remedies . She was patient and kind , not jealous , boastful , or proud . She is one of those irreplaceable people who we come across in this life . So very glad to know that this was not the end . -Mrs. Funk
biography , Dr . Quint stated that her top bucket list item was to ? complete the work God put me here to do .? Clearly , her duty as a Christian came before everything else , and this legacy continues to be an inspiration to all people her life touched . Her favorite verse , Jeremiah 29:11-13 , also serves as a real comfort to those struggling with loss . In the passage , the Lord promises that he has plans that give us a hopeful future . Dr . Quint noted that ? Only by accepting that God has a plan can we face the crises and joys of life .? As Ignite Christian Academy grieves the loss of a dear teacher , coworker , and friend , its staff and students also praise the Lord that Dr . Mary Ellen Quint has truly come home !
? Well done , good and faithful servant .... Enter into the joy of your master !?
