An Ethereal Experience

It all started with a mail from my
friend Kuyet Bamai inviting me and
eleven other influencers to a lunch
and boat cruise with the captain
at Jabi Boat Club on Saturday 4th
August 2018. The dress code was
neutral, white or anything that
makes you feel like you’re on the
beach. I quickly put a call across to
Onwuchekwa BCD and he came
through with a new white signature
top for me.
My eyes were focused on the
upcoming enjoyment so I defied
the impending reason and arrived
at the club. Immediately, we had a
photo session (Kuyet Bamai saved
the day again!). For the sake of your
visual imagination, let me describe
Jabi Boat Club to the best of my
ability. The Club is a wooden house
nesting at the edge of Jabi Lake with
a hanging wooden boat by the side
(Guys, this is the captain’s favourite
spot).
Honestly, I can confidently say that Nigeria
(Abuja, most importantly) is a tourists
dream. No, I am not talking about the tourist
attractions that the government has not
harnessed. I am referring to well thought out
‘enjoyment centres’ like the Jabi Boat Club. In
fact, I am talking about Jabi Boat Club where I
had an ethereal experience that I would never
forget.
To be sincere, nobody expected the level of
enjoyment, ambience and relaxation that
we got at Jabi Boat Club and we wished
the day would never come to an end. It is
an experience worth sharing. What more,
it is something you need to experience for
yourself.
Just as we were rounding up our photo sessions, our drinks arrived and it was time for the boat
cruise. This was the best part and it was literary the best time of our lives. Captain Ferguson
took time to share with us the history, vision, mission and future plans for Jabi Boat Club and
we were more than impressed. The cruise took us to Jabi Lake Mall, Berger Shooting Range and
Fisher Man Village. We all wished the cruise lasted forever.
After the cruise, we had a proper launch and I must say Jabi Boat Club makes one of the best
burger I have ever eaten. The rest of the food was as delicious and it was all finger licking. The
most interesting thing is Jabi Boat Club gives you a feel and experience totally different from
what you will get anywhere else in Abuja and we must say, Nigeria. The kayak, the Jet Ski and

boat cruise are a lifetime on their own. I am tired of explaining. Just
my word for it.
