The
Motif
Offered
I
guess
I
could
say
home
sweet
home
And
let
the
irony
of
the
situation
settle
down,
I
know
it
is
what
you
expect
me
to
say
In
this
abode
of
steel
and
glass
Which
dangles
over
the
canyon
for
a
clear
view.
You
will
laugh
at
the
suggestion
that
somehow
This
is
some
cozy
cottage,
a
warm
space
Where
we
might
gather
by
the
fireplace
To
tell
stories
of
the
past
and
read
the
scriptures,
The
only
guide
we
need
in
the
wilderness.
Yet,
I
would
still
mean
it,
no
matter
the
absence
Of
woolen
and
well-‐knit
items,
Or
the
absence
of
antiques
and
heirlooms,
The
link
to
a
past
we
know
this
house
clearly
lacks,
Yet
this
is
still
the
home
for
us
both,
for
now.
