Geneva Swedish Days

Peruse shops and take part in a variety of activities on a trip to Geneva’ s Swedish Days. This excursion is one of the best shopping experiences around with over 140 specialty shops in historic Geneva. Lunch is available at one of numerous nearby restaurants. Registration deadline is June 14.

Polonia Chicago

Explore the development of the Polish population of Chicago from early immigration in the 1800s to its growth to become the largest Polish population outside of Warsaw. Tour the Polish Museum of America located in the heart of the first Polish neighborhood in Chicago. Marvel at the extensive Paderewski Room devoted to pianist and statesman, Ignacy Paderewski. Visit St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, also known as the“ mother church” of all Polish churches followed by a buffet lunch at Red Apple Restaurant for a“ taste of Poland.” After lunch, visit St. Hyacinth Basilica. Before heading home, trip stops at Kurowski’ s Sausage Shop. Motor coach transportation is provided. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Addison Park District, 120 E. Oak Street in Addison. Jacob Henry Mansion Estate

Start the day with a self-guided tour of the Jacob Henry Mansion, which contains over 40 rooms and is a delightful blend of past and present. The mansion is a historical city, state and national landmark. After the tour, enjoy a delicious, Italian-style cuisine and welcome“ The Tenors 3,” a trio of classically-trained tenor vocalists. Program is infused with a touch of comedy, opera, broadway and more. After the show, trip heads to the Old Central Church located on site for a tour of the chapel. Head down to Wrigley Field as the World Champion Chicago Cubs take on the San Francisco Giants. Registration includes transportation and a game ticket. No parking, no tolls, no mess. White Sox Trip

Head down to Guaranteed Rate Field as the White Sox take on the New York Yankees. Trip cancellation insurance is available and encouraged to offer protection should participants need to cancel after July 9. Final payment is due July 9. Information on the insurance is distributed along with the detailed itinerary at the Bloomingdale Park District front office. Diamond Tours, Inc. greets the group at the various destinations, and then proceeds with guiding the tours. A park district representative assists in managing the trip.
