Contests, raffles, crafts and a mass kite launch highlight the annual Statewide Kite Fly and Touch-A- Truck events.
Sponsored by the Illinois Association of Park Districts, the kite fly raises awareness of the Park District Youth License Plate Flying 4 Kids program. Sales of Flying 4 Kids license plates go to park districts and recreation agencies to provide innovative, after-school programming for Illinois youth. Bring your own kites or kites will be available for purchase.
