Contests , raffles , crafts and a mass kite launch highlight the annual Statewide Kite Fly and Touch-A- Truck events .
Sponsored by the Illinois Association of Park Districts , the kite fly raises awareness of the Park District Youth License Plate Flying 4 Kids program . Sales of Flying 4 Kids license plates go to park districts and recreation agencies to provide innovative , after-school programming for Illinois youth . Bring your own kites or kites will be available for purchase .
