We created our video in a way of making it more relatable to the younger audince that will most certainly be influenced by those eras however won't have lived in them.
The first era we chose was the 1990's. We chose to do this era as it is one of the longest lasting fashions ever. The Hip Hop culture took the USA and UK by storm especially. This era not only had a great inluence on music but also fashion, music created trends and trends created music. I personally chose to look at this era as I feel that it is one that I find I can relate to the most this is due to the music and also ther style.
The second era we decided to look at was the 1980's. We chose this era as we loved how vibrant it was and how whacky people were with not only their clothes but also their hair. The 80's was all about making a statement, the bigger the better and the louder the better. This era had a great influence on fashion as it was the decade that made sport clothing regular clothing as it were. It is very apparent that this is still a trend today as brands such as Adidas and Nike amongst others are not just making sports wear but now normal garments too with their logos printed on them or stripes down the side of jersey leggings etc.

We then went on to look at the 1970's, a very britch era you could say due to the punk culture that came about. It was all about rebelling, more and more people were finding their voices and standing up for what they felt was right, this whole attitude is still very much present today along with the punk culture especially in places like Camden.
The final era we looked at was the 1960's. As well as having new shapes and silhouettes, colours and prints it was also a substancial decade for change with the African American Civil Rights movement.
I feel that our video does inform the viewer well because not only do we create clear looks inspired by our chosen decades, we also discussed the looks and discussed where the inspiration came from behind them.
