History
The internationalization of BUas started with their first master , European Tourism management . It was a collaboration with partners in Bournemouth , Chambéry and Madrid . ‘ At the end of the eighties , such an international collaboration and a fully Englishtaught degree programme was quite special for a Dutch university of applied sciences ’ says Director of International Affairs at BUas Marlie van Dun .
In 1990 , BUas ( then NHTV ) provided their first fully English-taught programme ; International Tourism and Management Consultancy ( ITMC ).
The first foreign lecturers were hired when Hotel Management ( 2001 ), Creative Business ( 2002 ) and , at a later stage , Creative Media and Game Technologies ( 2006 ) were launched . ‘ The percentage of foreign lecturers is currently 50 % in the Games department ,’ says Marlie .
Exchange experiences
‘ Exchange has been the best choice of my life . After doubting for a long time whether I dared to take the step , I did go to Seoul , South Korea . A little dream came true of mine , since in my mind South Korea was the country of trends such as food , fashion , music , art and much more . Nothing was further from the truth . South Korea surprised me and will forever have a place in my heart .’ - Xara Roelofs

Going on an exchange abroad was the best decision I have ever made ! It has been amazing to explore another country and meet new people .
