It goes in the oven and hardens,” said Tapley. “When
they come out of the foil, you
can see right through them.”
By this point in the process,
the bolsters have already been added, to
separate the blade from the handle.
“I’ll take the knives out and then put
them in my wife’s oven for two hours at
500 degrees,” said Taple
