T he family was very excited as we prepared for our exciting fishing trip to new York! i had attended an Outdoor Women unlimited Annual Southern Classic weekend in Benton, Alabama at Southern Sportsman Lodge. What a great time learning new outdoor activities while sharing time with other women equally passionate to explore all the great outdoor classroom adventures. Throughout the weekend, OWu provided opportunities to win hunting and fishing trips that extended across the uSA! Well, i decided to try for the new York Fishing Trip on the niagara donated by ernie Calandrelli, ernie’s guide Service and Charter Fishing! Well, guess who won??? We left home about midnight for a long ride ahead. Leaving early, allowed us to have family time together. We arrived in Lewiston, new York about 3 p.m. the next day. it was great seeing the countryside. We checked in to the riverside motel. We met with ernie Calandrelli, owner and guide ernie’s guide Service to plan for the next day of fishing. 5:30 am came quickly! We were eager to meet ernie at 6:30 a.m. Well, maybe all of us but my daughter Ashton. He brought all of us breakfast. We had a nice trip over to Lake erie. The water was a bit rough. The first of the family to get a “hit” was my son remington! it was a tin can! To be sick on a fishing trip of a lifetime would be the worse thing that could happen to me.. i was determined to hang tough. Finally, i began to feel better. ernie took the boat further out to attempt to catch fish and then came back toward the inlet.
