Partnership with PECO / Exelon for “ All Hands Day ” Pardon Clinic
In July , the firm partnered with PECO / Exelon for its annual “ All Hands Day ,” during which the entire legal department of PECO / Exelon participates in a pro bono project . Working with Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity (“ PLSE ”), volunteers from Blank Rome and PECO / Exelon worked together to assist low-income Philadelphia residents with nonviolent criminal records to prepare pardon applications .
Without a pardon , these clients are held back from obtaining licenses needed for careers in skilled trades , including nursing , cosmetology , trucking , and more . A pardon would enable these clients to support their families and continue in their rehabilitation .
