Center (“ SLC ”) helps low-income senior citizens with issues affecting their homes , health , independence , financial survival , and quality of life . Philadelphia Litigation attorney Justina L . Byers , who nominated the SLC for a firm grant , noted “ Philadelphia has the largest percentage of older adults among the country ’ s 10 largest cities and one in five seniors live in poverty . The grant will help a very important organization continue to provide necessary services to a vulnerable and often overlooked group of Pennsylvanians .”
