We Celebrate You , HBCUs ! Program
In February , as part of our Black History Month celebration , BR United held a webinar panel for Black and African American historically Black college and university (“ HBCU ”) law students and junior and senior college students about the legal career journey . Our firm wanted to spotlight the rich history and legacy of HBCUs , including producing outstanding leaders in the law and business .
Our esteemed panel of leaders and HBCU alumni discussed and answered questions about their legal career journey and how students can position themselves to enter and succeed in the legal industry .

As special prizes , the first two students to sign into the webinar each received two virtual mentoring sessions with Blank Rome attorneys in our BR United affinity group . In addition , two student HBCU trivia winners each received two virtual mentoring sessions with Blank Rome attorneys in our BR United affinity group .
HBCU Pre-Law Summit
Blank Rome sponsored the Ninth Annual National HBCU Pre- Law Summit & Law Expo , the nation ’ s only major national pre-law event created especially for HBCU students and alumni interested in going to law school and becoming lawyers .
The Summit was hosted at the University of the District of Columbia and more than 120 law schools were represented . As part of our sponsorship , we hosted a booth at the career fair . Blank Rome partner
Mason P . Ashe represented the firm and met with several impressive undergraduates and professionals considering careers in law from a wide variety of HBCU institution s and employers .
