Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging
Blank Rome was founded in 1946 by attorneys who, because of their religion, were excluded from many established law firms. That experience shaped our enduring commitment to fostering a workplace where people of all backgrounds can thrive in an environment of inclusion and belonging. We share a responsibility to carry forward our founders’ vision, which continues to guide how we support one another, serve our clients, and engage with our communities. Our ability to attract and retain talented individuals with diverse perspectives remains fundamental to who we are and to our success.
The highlights in this Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging(“ DI & B”) report reflect a community built through action, connection, and purpose. Through mentoring, inclusive leadership, affinity group engagement, and belonging-focused opportunities, colleagues show that people do their best work when they feel seen, supported, and valued.
I am inspired by our colleagues’ leadership in firmwide initiatives, client and community engagement, and conversations honoring heritage, identity, and lived experience. These stories show that inclusion and belonging at Blank Rome are daily values reflected in our relationships, collaboration, and commitment to one another.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on a culture where differences are embraced, voices amplified, and opportunities accessible to all. Together, we will advance our founding values and strengthen a workplace where talent and individuality flourish for future generations.
