What was the best piece of busi-
ness advice you were given when
you were starting out?
I was told to always believe in
myself, stay true to my vision, sur-
round myself with positive energy
& of course don’t spend your first
pay cheque on expensive shoes.
What is the favourite thing about
your work space?
My hot chocolate machine, then
my art.
Name the biggest overall lesson
you’ve learned in running a busi-
ness?
Never ever ever, ever give up.
Know your strengths, find some-
thing you are good at and stick
with it until it becomes your pas-
sion. This is something we have
to continue to work at. I’ve been
through many personal battles and
overcoming these challenges while
keeping your focus is a handy skill
in business.
Name your greatest success or
something you are most proud of
in your business experience?
I’ve been lucky enough to help
other women achieve their business
goals and dreams. I get a lot of
joy watching them slay, watching
them transform. It requires constant
education, and seeing these women
navigate their own challenges in
business inspires me to do better
and be better. I fall in love with
people I’m able to learn from.
What tool, object or virtual ac-
cessory could you not live with-
out?

Name a woman/ women, past or
present that you admire or look
up to?
I could write a book on women
who inspire me, I’ll keep it to 4
here.
Michelle Obama- And if you ask
me why, the answer is simple- be-
cause she’s just so cool & incred-
ibly smart. She speaks and I want
to get up and do something good,
change a situation for the better.
She must be one the best orators
along with her husband of our time.
Valentina Tereshvoka- She was ba-
dass. A former textile worker from
the Soviet Union became the first
woman in space, orbiting the earth
forty-eight times. She logged more
flight time than the total combined
times of every American astronaut
who had flown before her. She was
26 years old.

Margaret Ekpo- A fierce defender
of women’s rights and social mo-
bilizer. A pioneering female poli-
tician she felt that woman abroad
had more of a voice than their
counterparts in Nigeria and fought
to change this. She is a constant
reminder of how slowly things are
changing in the area of women’s
rights in Nigeria.
J K Rowling- Something must
be said of a woman (some call
her queen) who inspired an entire
generation to love reading. I can’t
keep up with the number of little
boys and girls who tell me they
want to become writers because of
harry potter. Noting that she started
from humble beginnings, had the
courage to chase a dream and never
gave up in the face of multiple
rejections.
