• Vibes by the Lake – Sunday 4 May, Nurragingy Reserve, Doonside. Enjoy top R’ n’ B and reggae artists in the tranquil surroundings of one of the city’ s most beautiful reserves.
• Blacktown Festival Comedy Night – Friday 9 May at Blacktown Workers Club. Headlined by comedy veteran Simon Kennedy, with support from Aditya Gautam, Ben Darsow, Lizzy Hoo, Dilruk Jayasinha, and Danielle Walker.
• Sweet Indulgence Dessert Festival – Friday 16 May, The Village Green, Blacktown. A dream come true for dessert lovers, featuring delicious treats and live entertainment.
• Swingin’ Sounds – Sunday 18 May,
Blacktown Showground. Featuring Rat Pack Reloaded performing iconic big band hits like That’ s Amore, New York New York, My Way, and Come Fly with Me – a feelgood show not to be missed.
• Blacktown City Medieval Fayre – Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 May, Nurragingy Reserve. Celebrating its 20th year, this family favourite includes jousting, stand-up battles, medieval displays, blacksmith demonstrations, falconry, craft stalls, themed food and more – a full immersion into medieval life.
• Seniors Concert – Bublé to Brightman – Tuesday 27 May, Bowman Hall. A musical journey
featuring beloved classics from Michael Bublé to Sarah Brightman.
• Dorothy the Dinosaur & Friends Show – Wednesday 28 May, Bowman Hall. Dance along with Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog, and Henry the Octopus in a joyful showcase of Wiggles favourites.
• The Last Coconut Drifted with Morgan Hogg – Now showing until 21 June at the Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre. This powerful exhibition by Cook Islands artist Morgan Hogg explores culture, family, and heritage through sound, video, carving, and community storytelling.
• Streets Alive and Parade Day – Saturday 31 May. The festival finale fills Blacktown’ s streets with performances, markets, and children’ s entertainment, proudly showcasing the city’ s rich cultural diversity.
Blacktown City Libraries will also host a special exhibition celebrating memorable moments from the past 50 years of the festival. With more events than ever – including theatre, workshops, markets, exhibitions, and music showcases – the 2025 Blacktown City Festival promises to be a landmark celebration in the life of the city.
