Blacktown City is the perfect place to create incredible summer memories ,” Mayor Bunting added .

Australia Day evening at Rooty Hill will provide an evening of live music , free

rides , Aussie games , food trucks and the Western Sydney ’ s biggest and best , spectacular fireworks display .
This year ’ s Australia Day Concert features Aussie music legend Shannon Noll , supported by the Hype Boys , INXS Kick and Simply West .
Mayor Bunting said , “ Our Australia Day celebration at Rooty Hill is a highlight of the summer , bringing together families for an evening of incredible entertainment and unforgettable fireworks .”
Blacktown City will also honour local heroes at the Australia Day Awards Ceremony and welcome new citizens at a special Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony at Bowman Hall .
“ As we celebrate , it ’ s also important to reflect on our nation ’ s journey — the triumphs and the challenges ,” Mayor Bunting said .

Looking ahead to February , Blacktown City will mark the Year of the Dragon with a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration at Nurragingy Reserve . Expect a dazzling evening of cultural performances , lion and dragon dances , a traditional blessing ceremony , food stalls , kids ’ activities , and fireworks .

Enjoy all the festivities of Australia Day 2025 at our Australia Day Celebrations at The Rooty Hill . Grab the family and enjoy a family-friendly day out while Rooty Hill plays host to live stage performances , amusement rides , food stalls and concludes with Western Sydney ’ s best fireworks display .
The Australia Day Concert is a licenced event and is strictly no BYO alcohol . Alcohol must be purchased and consumed wit hin the licenced area . 4pm to 9.30pm
