The power of bringing a community together
What does a community mean to you ?
It can be as simple as a group of people that live in one area , or as connected as a group of people who convey a sense of togetherness , common values , identity and positivity .
Enjoying time in a group , whether it be with your friends or your local community , can boost your morale , happiness , and overall quality of life . It ’ s important to make time for social activities , connectivity , and inclusion all round .
Mountain View Adventist College is proud to continue inspiring community and inclusion with their Family Festival , back for its sixth year . The event is taking place on Sunday the 14th of April at 4:00pm - 9:00pm .
Family Festival is designed for members of the community to enjoy a fun-filled family event on the college grounds in Doonside . Enjoy food trucks , rides , a petting zoo , and live entertainment all evening long , and enjoy being part of a community that cherishes respect , integrity , and trust .
“ This event is a time for our community to come together , get to know each other and engage with the college ,” says Revona Grice , staff member at Mountain View Adventist College .
“ We don ’ t expect anything in return ; it ’ s just our way of giving back to the community .”
Purchase your wristband ahead of the event for $ 35 , with sales closing on the 14th of April at 12pm . If you miss it , you can also secure tickets at the door for $ 40 .
