It ’ s fantastic to see so many major projects and facilities being supported , extended or under construction in Blacktown City . Our district is really a city on the move , especially as a sports capital , an arts centre and a multicultural enriched heartland of our state .
Being the biggest LGA by population in NSW gives us a formidable powerhouse of community resources , investment and talent to draw on , celebrate and succeed with .
Take the International Sportspark in Rooty Hill and Sydney Motorsport Park in Eastern Creek as just two examples of world-class facilities drawing world leading athletes and teams , while simultaneously nurturing our own homegrown superstars of the future .
Our stories on P13 of the $ 100 million investment in a sports innovation hub , or P27 of the Future Matildas program underway – both ongoing examples of how Blacktown is flexing its muscles in
BCI being a base for the evolution of the next generation of stars , while offering our community access to benefit from cutting edge facilities and programs .
It ’ s heartening to see such investment by all three tiers of government in this sphere , and how council actively embraces its residents and businesses to keep the city bustling with regular festivals , business forums , entertainment and building projects really taking advantage of its residential , commercial and public space .
