T4A driven by community need

Hundreds of flood relief hampers were recently donated to Blacktown City flood victims by charity Turbans 4 Australia ( T4A ).
The welcome assistance , coordinated by T4A and Greenway MP Michelle Rowland , was delivered directly to the Riverstone Community Centre , which distributed the goods to locals .
“ We delivered 80 cleaning hampers and 200 personal care hampers for flood victims [ which ] included quality cleaning products , personal hygiene and care items ,” T4A president Amar Singh said .
“ We pride ourselves as a community-driven grassroots organisation which services society in times of need .”
Ms Rowland , who attended the drop-off , said the recent floods had been especially tough on our Riverstone community .
“ And when things get tough , Amar Singh and Turbans 4 Australia are always there to help ,” she said .
It ’ s not the first time T4A has been actively involved in local community causes .

three air conditioners . T4A has assisted more than 10,000 Australians since its inception , delivering an estimated total of 150,000 tonnes of groceries and 80,000 hot meals .
“ We have been at the forefront of relief work since 2015 . We have served during the drought , bushfires , COVID-19 and floods ,” Mr Singh said .
“ During the bushfires we [ undertook ] 22 trips from Tenterfield to Eden delivering nonperishable groceries , bottled water , hand tools , personal care items and brand-new clothing .
“ We are running COVID relief centres in Liverpool , Clyde , Harris Park , Wollongong , Dubbo , Canberra / Queanbeyan , Brisbane and the Gold Coast .
“ Our current flood relief is in northern NSW and Sydney , with a flood relief hub set up in Lismore . We have covered more than 25,000 kilometers from Sydney to Lismore .”

T4A ’ s social enterprise - Green & Gold Charity Logistics Ltd – was launched by His Excellency Governor-General Sir David Hurley and Mrs Hurley . It provides charity-focused logistics support of bulk donations , with one truck based in Lismore and two trucks committed to shuttle runs from Sydney to Lismore , Woodburn , Ballina , Coroki and Casino . The charity is looking to use electricpowered trucks for Sydney work .
