Amazing employment outcomes for recent graduates
Macquarie Community College is addressing the workforce shortage in Early Childhood Education and Care ( ECEC ) by preparing and deploying a skilled workforce in the sector .
Eighty five per cent of recent graduates have secured employment in various related positions . Two recent graduates Palakshi and Payal , share their experiences in the college and their current roles .
Palakshi recently migrated from India and enrolled in CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care Certificate course after struggling to find work during

Upon commencing her studies , Palakshi found that the course ’ s flexibility and teaching style was comprehensive and suited her needs .
“ The course taught me the professional skills , rules and regulations , and standards required to work in ECEC in Australia …,” said Palakshi .
Payal , a stay-at-home mum , was keen to re-enter the workforce . Having previously been a teacher for twelve years , she wanted to continue working with children .
“ Starting a career after being away from work for 10 years , I needed something that was easy for me to comprehend and access . From the moment I started , I could tell that the course delivery was of a high quality , detailed and to the point ,” said Payal .
Since graduating , Palakshi and Payal have been working in the childcare sector and are both currently enrolled in the CHC50121 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care at the college , taking their careers to the next level .
