The IRB has launched an official investigation into SkaapZA's controversial decision to include a Grand Jedi Master only known as Yoda. According to authorities many details of his life's history remain unknown. In fact, there is still an on-going debate over whether Yoda is a man or woman.

It is rumoured that a member of the Jedi High Council who knows someone who knows someone arranged an official birth certificate at the Department of Home Affairs allowing him to qualify for selection into South Africa u20's World Cup squad for Season 20. Department officials haven't released any comment regarding these allegations.

For the time being Yoda will remain a member of the SA u20 team until the IRB makes a ruling on this matter.

Being the shortest member of the SA u20 squad, the odd-looking character doesn't look like much of a rugby player but he has proven to be a key playmaker in the backline of the SA u20s. Not only can he jump freakishly high, the coach has come to expect some linebreaks and lots of running metres gained when Yoda takes the field.

Yoda is a fan favourite and many believe he can be a leading try scorer for the SA team going forward. Coach SkaapZA's team selection has become difficult to predict, but it looks like Yoda's likely going to run out at wing. He's also impressed at outside centre, but it doesn't look like Yoda has any preference.

Yoda was available for comment after Friday's gruelling match against the mighty All-Blacks.

Q: Tough game tonight Yoda, the All-Blacks proving they are a force to be reckoned with this season

A: Dark forces rising from across the Tasman sea, there are, growing stronger day by day. Hmmmmmm

Q: SA didn't do much wrong in the game, yet you struggled to get going?

A: If no mistake have you made, yet losing you are … a different game you should play

Q: Do you think your squad has enough depth to take on the All Blacks in the next World Cup?

A: Just around the corner, the world cup is, but the dark side clouds everything. Impossible to see the future is. When you look at the dark side, careful you must be. For the dark side looks back.

Q: Are you happy with coach SkaapZA and how he's managed the team thus far?

A: Done a good job so far in his campaign, the coach has. Early must I rise. Leave now you must!
