A LETTER OF THANKS TO THE DIRECTOR Letter from the Director Dear Friend, Whether it is witnessing to the real presence of Our Lord during a Eucharistic procession in the streets of Memphis or standing up for the unborn during the March for Life in DC, the friars are joyfully carrying out their mission of seeking the salvation of souls. In this issue, you will read about Brother Irenaeus, who is laying down his life to fulfill this same mission. It is because of your generosity that we can educate Brother Irenaeus [see pg. 9] and Brother Albert. You will also learn about how your support made all the difference in the world for Tammy and Zachary. Read about how your support allowed Father Nicanor to preach to thousands of souls struggling with end of life issues. There are also names, too numerous to mention, hidden heroes like the friars who hear countless confessions and courageously preach homilies at daily Mass that inspire others like Nicole to share her own heart-warming story in what seemed like a cold, hopeless situation. Hi Father Gabriel, Thank you for producing NaPro: A Quiet Revolution! I couldn’t help but tear up as I watched the film and heard the doctors tell–in many ways–my story. Words that come to mind: powerful, hopeful, and insightful. As the ending credits rolled, another unexpected emotion welled up inside of me. Let me explain. In February 2011, we conceived our first child. Shortly after, we miscarried him. In November 2011, we conceived again and lost that baby too. We were told both times that it was bad luck and that no tests could be run until we miscarried three times in a row. Then we stumbled on Creighton and NaPro. It took two years and two surgeries before they found and corrected eight things that were wrong with me. Only since our son Zachary was born have I been able to be okay with this journey. The entire pregnancy, I was worried about losing him too. Most of the last four years I have been very angry with God. But watching your film today I was overcome with a feeling of gratefulness for this journey. Thank you and God bless, – Tammy Only in heaven will we realize the full extent of all the souls that were reached because of your generosity. Until then, be assured of our daily prayers!
