Every year on Christmas Eve , a specific gentleman who owns a lovely candy store in town would come into the store . This was when we were at the original Easton location .
Each year the staff would wait , and at about 4 p . m ., he would arrive after everyone else had done their shopping .
I was the new guy , and I had no idea he was coming . When he arrived , I was free to help , and we traveled around the store for a long time until he settled on a bracelet , diamonds , and sapphires He said , “ Go get it wrapped , and I ’ ll be right back .” He went to his car and came back in with shopping bags of his company ’ s Christmas candy , enough for the entire staff and our families .
Everyone else knew it was coming , but I didn ’ t . I had to help carry a few bags , and it felt like I was Santa ’ s helper from both sides of the counter that year !

My favorite Christmas memory was being introduced to high-end jewelry for the first time in 2021 . I was warmly introduced to the Bixlers ’ team with welcoming arms . Creating a lifetime milestone memory with a customer by assisting them to create the perfect engagement ring was a moving experience that I will not forget .

Two young men came into the store . One of the men had purchased his engagement ring from me recently and had now brought in his best friend who was looking to get engaged . There was a lot of laughter and joking going on during the diamond presentation , and we were all having fun . They were great friends .
They had known each other since they were kids . Finally , the perfect diamond and ring were chosen , and he wanted to finance his ring . He was skeptical that he would be approved as he had just bought a house . He was , sadly , not able to finance , and he was disappointed because he really wanted to propose for Christmas . His friend then offered to co-sign the credit application for him so that he could get his ring in time . It was a very generous and kind thing for him to do , and it was touching to see .

One of my clients came in to have her grandmother ’ s ring recreated from memory . Her grandmother raised her . Unfortunately , she passed away and the ring was stolen . It was a beautiful 14k yellow gold opal and diamond ring . The opal was a stunning , large marquise with a diamond halo . We chose the stones , had a cad file made , and modified it a few times until it was perfect .
When I gave her the finished piece , she cried . She loved her grandmother so much , and this was a beautiful reminder of her .
