SUSTAINABLE HOLIDAY SEASON

It is said that those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it . Historically , producing fine jewelry has been a dirty and energy-intensive enterprise conducted with little regard to the health of our planet or human life .

Where most manufacturers outsource and import , we are proud to lead the industry with our safe and sustainable practices that produce fine jewelry without harming the planet or its people .
We use only recycled precious metals , support local mining communities , and handcraft our pieces in our North American atelier using 97 % renewable energy .
With the hustle and bustle of the holidays , no one would blame you if you weren ’ t exactly thinking about the environment right now . But if you want to keep enjoying white Christmases , it ’ s the perfect time to go green . Where to start ? We ’ re counting down some helpful tips on how to be more sustainable during the holiday season . Trust us , a small change can make a big difference .
1 . SHOP LOCALLY
Give the gift that keeps on giving . By buying products made in the USA , you ’ re supporting local vendors and their families . Buying locally not only helps the community but also reduces your environmental footprint because , at the very least , your gift didn ’ t have to travel halfway around the world to get to you .
2 . SEND A CHRISTMAS E-CARD
Customize your very own Christmas card and do away with the pollution caused by using snail mail , all from the comfort of your own home .
3 . REGIFT
Believe it or not , regifting isn ' t a bad thing . If one of your possessions no longer gives you joy , set it free . Regifting gifts can even be a fun activity for the whole family . Go on a treasure hunt around your house with the family and find all the items you think someone else would need or love .
4 . USE RECYCLED WRAPPING PAPER
Common wrapping paper contains nonbiodegradable plastics that will stick around long after the holidays . You could opt for a greener option such as wrapping paper made from recyclable and compostable cardboard . Don ’ t be afraid to get creative . You could even wrap a gift in an old kitchen towel . For better or worse , no one will ever forget the gift they got wrapped in a towel .
As you can see , all it takes is a little change . And a little change can make a big difference .
