With a team of highly qualified and motivated members of faculty, the department has an ambience for learning processes through well equipped laboratories, air-conditioned seminar hall. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories with exceptional facilities to enhance their practical knowledge in their field of study. Some of the facilities are: Subsonic Wind Tunnel with Smoke Flow Visualization Cessna 2 seater airplane Water flow channel Wind tunnel balance for measuring Lift and Drag Diffused light Polariscope with oblique incident attachment Different kind beam setups with dial gauge arrangement Strain indicator and Strain gauge setup Basic workshop equipment for Structures repair laboratory Jet engine and Piston Engine Model Wall jet & free jet setup Convective heat transfer setup Digital IC Interface Trainer & Microprocessor 8085 Kits The Department conducts a series of guest lectures and webinars through the students association 'Aeronautical Student Council for Transformation (ASCOT)' and eminent scientific personalities in the field of Aeronautical Engineering The Department has gained considerable experience over the years in conducting conferences, and workshops catering to the specific requirements of students. It also organizes workshops at regular intervals with a view to enlight the students in the field of miniature and unmanned aerial vehicle design in Aeronautical Engineering The Department interacts with DRDO, DRDL & ADE and ARDB Board for obtaining funded projects. In addition to this, the Department is on the move to set up a Centre of Excellence with the financial assistance of MHRD and ARDB. Also, measures have been initiated for a collaborative research with the foreign universities such as University of Toronto, Canada and Tohoku University, Japan in this Center of Excellence
