Liquid Crystal Laboratory: In order to promote inter-disciplinary research in liquid crystals, the Liquid Crystal Laboratory was established in 2004. Projects relating to Liquid Crystals are presently being carried out in the laboratory with the support of the funding agencies like AICTE, BRNS-DAE, DST and DRDO. The state-of-the-art facilities in the laboratory are utilized for characterizing the liquid crystal with sophisticated equipment like: Nikon Polarizing Microscope GwInstek Digital Oscilloscope Abbe Refractometer Shimadzu DSC Bomem FTIR Agilent Impedance Analyzer Sonics Ultra Sonificator Keithly six and half digit multimeter Shimazdzu Single Pan balance Virtual Instrumentation Laboratory is equipped with National Instruments Products for real time applications NI Elvis/PCI 6251 Bundle (Academic Use) - used for Electronic Design System Software-Speedy -33DSP 150 MHz VC33 II DSP Chip with 34 KW on chip/512KW on flash and compact flash memory interface for standalone embedded DSP applications Camera NI 1722 Smart Camera for Image Processing Applications NI Compact DAQ Instrumentation Bundle - used for real time Signal Processing
