Or it is going to be made out so. The Corona was to surge again in the month of January alone but the issue of Kisan Morcha held it back. Government was under the impression that it would fizzle out in a matter of one or two months but it did not, held on, got prolonged. Then elections were about to commenced in five states. The government could not have risked being tough with the farmers. They wanted to come to some kind of compromise some adjustments . They even promised to keep it in abeyance for one and half year. But the farmers were very tenacious. They didn't budge even a single inch. They were not willing for any compromise short of withdrawal of the whole bill. The Government thought it is better to keep the issue in a cold storage until the elections are over and take it up with full vigor soon afterwards.
The farmers strike and elections in states were the 'Achilles Heels' of the government. They were getting exposed about the lies they were perpetrating about this disease being highly contagious, fast spreading and being deadly. They did all the drama of not even handing over the bodies of patients to families and close relatives. They were shown the dead body from a distance and took over the responsibility of doing even the last rites. While on the other side millions of farmers stayed together , huddled with each other, for months on the Tikri, Gazipur and other borders, without mask, without any care for social distancing, without following any rules of heigine like frequent washing of hands with sanitizers and what not. But not a case of death due to Corona. Farmers strike went on for months but no Corona. The ghost of Corona didn't even caste its shadow over there.
So also with election crowds. Lakhs of people in close proximity, touching one another, falling on each other but none getting effected by Corona.Though a few people on the stage enacted the drama of wearing masks while none others did off the stage, not even one in the millions of audience.
The government finally realized and decided to lie low until the elections were set to be over. While second and third waves of Corona were spreading in European countries but our government restrained and did not allow the start the wave along with them. The country remained guarded against mainly because of continuing farmers agitation and the state elections.
Now let once the elections are to be over you will find the 'Vikaral Roop' , the surge of Corona. Intensive and forcible testing will begin and you will find the cases of Corona exploding exponentially. What with the faulty equipment at their disposal, which will invariably be showing ten as Corona positive if hundreds are tested. Once having been tested as Corona positive there is no escaping, you will be under their survelliance and under their grip. You cannot escape by saying, I am perfectly OK and I do not have Corona or any symptoms of it.. Once declared as corona positive with that faulty machine your fate is sealed once and for all. You will now be at their mercy. You will then become an offender to the society. Not only you but your family, and your whole of your locality
