‘We have lost connection in the tummy to the nature, the microbes are not there. The microbes do lot of biochemical reactions in our body, to keep us not only immune strong, but healthy. Many biochemical processes, and including your brain, nerves, nerve centres communicate properly when there is that healthy microbial population in your gut.

‘Don't We no know all these things. Then we are hell bent upon using antibiotics , steroids, and that is science for you. This is the problem here. Why are we not using ecological models because we are interested in economic models. So we need to shift from economic model to ecological model. ‘

On intellectual properties, property rights , he says we have become stupid enough to ‘sell our brains for money’. The knowledge has to be shared, not to be sold. The knowledge is not entirely yours, it is an accumulation process. This knowledge has to become science and science to become a tool to help the fauna , flora and yourself, that everything on this planet lived.

He says all this thought prognosis that brought him back to India because diversity of food grains still did exist in India. Foxtail millet, called Italian millet had vanished from Italy, Little millet called African millet had disappeared from Africa, the Brown top millet called American millet is now thrown to birds there in America and is not being eaten. The kodo millet, the Himalayan Russian millet, they don’t have it now.

The advantages of these Millets, which he describes them as being God given, they can be grown all over the planet without any damage to the nature. They require very little or no water, can be grown even at very high temperatures. Instead of this he asks ‘ What we are doing ? We have built dams. We have mined our mountains. Caused the most ecological imbalance just to grow our food, to grow our sugarcanes, to grow our rice, to grow our wheat.’ And he says they are actually not at all food. Individually taken, they cause glucose imbalance.

Further he goes on to explain the importance of fibre in our food. The fibre he says does the cleansing job on a daily basis. Prevents the toxic waste from accumulating within the body. Eliminating fibre from the food is the most unscientific thing we can be doing. We have chosen rice and wheat and sugar and meat and egg as our staple food which have no fibre at all. He says we have dried up the planet just to produce sugarcane. Further he rebukes us from calling ourselves scientific, while not knowing how to produce our food without damaging the ecological balance

Dr. Khader Vali further goes on to talk about what he calls as ‘Jungle Krushi’ . He is worried about we decimating the forest. He talks about there being minimum 42 % of the land being forest instead of the 11 % as it is now. He says the most important and the most responsible job for the human race now is to build forests. Not to build smart cities. Further he finds that these five Siri Dhanya can actually bring the human race out of all distress. He then pleads everyone just to choose these five grains as their staple food and by this solve almost all the problems that we have created till now.
