Sadguru : When we talk of health, if anyone says you don’t have any disease, this does not mean you are healthy. When you get up in the morning do you feel lively and energetic, or no. The word health has come from ‘whole’ meaning total. Your body, mind and energy have to be total. When all these things are in accordance with your existence then on getting up in the morning, you feel you are just being born. If it happens like this then it means you are healthy.

One simple thing which all you girls can do is in include 40 to 50 % of food raw food your meals. Meaning, they should be alive. It should be some living cell. It can be any vegetable, it can be any fruit, or any dry fruit, or any seedling. At least 40 to 50 % of food that you eat should be alive. You eat all the dead food and you want to alive.

Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury : Anything before time or after time is an indication of the fact that there is some problem in your health, some big problem. It has a very direct connection with only one thing and that is the food. So whichever parent is listening to this now must find out what percent of child’s diet is in the raw state. How much should it be, at least 50 %. Now understand for the whole day if the child is eating , suppose one or one and half kilo then 50 % of that is 750 grams has to be in the raw form. In that there can be fruits, vegetables, salads, or there can be vegetables in the form of smoothies, juices of vegetables, juices of fruits, nuts, roasted ones, sprouts, there can be dates.

Sadguru : When you are cooking the food, all that is necessary things for digesting the food are not found in the body alone. Enzymes are found in the food also. When you cook the food, you are destroying these enzymes to a great extent. When you eat without enzymes the body has to work very hard in order to prepare those parts which have got destroyed. Only then it can digest it. On an average it will reduce the energy of the

body for one and half an hour after eating. After that, only gradually it gets compensated.

Food is for energy, but we are cooking such a food it take away the energy of one and half an hour. Only after that and that too gradually, it returns the energy. Even your digestion is be very good, even then, they cannot create all enzymes which have got destroyed by cooking. We can do only up to a certain extent. In case if your digestion process is very strong and better, then you can recreate from 40 to 50 % of whatever has been lost. In case if the digestion process is weak, then this figure is very low. So whatever it may be , if you are eating cooked food, then 50 to 60 % of what you have eaten gets wasted. But the body has to work even on that. And the amount of energy it exerts and the amount of difficulty it faces, that is too much.

For many people food has different meaning, but importantly it is fuel for the body. If you put the right kind of fuel then it will work in a definite way. If you put a wrong kind of fuel, it will manage somehow. I am not saying you eat like this or you eat like that, just experiment and see. Fine. Just experiment and see. Tonight when you leave, instead of eating cooked food, eat fruits and see. Tomorrow morning you will need the alarm. You will get up before the alarm. And you will find thay your eyes will not be closed like this. You will be alert the moment you get up. People do not know what it means to be comfortable within their body. Unfortunately 95 % of people do not know this because you are putting a wrong kind of fuel. You can maintain this body like air. Easily it will remain in front of you, you don’t have to pull it up. It should go ahead of you. You can do this by putting the right kind of fuel.
