It has been said by a revered world teacher, that in the welfare of others we shall find our own well-being. I am truly experiencing this in working as a NICE and WISE Expert with Dr.Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury and his team. I have worked in the field of Pharmaceuticals as a Pharmaceutical Research Scientist. I have always believed that medicines treat symptoms and not the root cause of the disease. Having grown up as a healthy, very active kid, eating organic food and having grown into a health conscious adult I have avoided taking any medication and have always believed in a good healthy active lifestyle and a clean diet.

I have always been interested in health and nutrition and follow medical, nutrition and lifestyle based studies and in doing so last year during the very start of Covid I heard a video from Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury. Since I was living a healthy lifestyle and heard his approach I instantly felt that he knew what he was talking about. When you have experienced something then you know the person is telling the truth. For example, if you read about spirituality or follow someone without trying it then you may believe what the person says but when you put that into practice and experience it then you know the truth for yourself. If I describe the taste of an apple you wouldn’t know it till you actually tasted it. In a similar way I knew in an instant what he was talking about and started following him, researched and enrolled in his nutrition course and got my Nutrition Therapy certificate. As there was a lockdown I could not go to the gym and I usually have very good energy but once I enrolled in his course I followed his diet strictly and my energy levels soared. I have always believed in prevention is better than cure and have practiced the same but now I found out something new. I could actually help people who have already developed a health issue. This was a major piece of information.

As a nutrition student he made us try the flu diet that Influenza patients are advised to follow. It was a very good exercise because if we faced any problems in the following of the flu diet we could clarify our doubts. He also made us help someone with health problems follow a DIP diet and then note the person's progress or we could do it on ourselves too and then we had troubleshooting opportunities. In this exercise, I helped a friend who had Rheumatoid Arthritis, stomach problems, major acidity issues, cholesterol, borderline diabetes fatigue etc and within a week she felt much better and continued with the diet and most of her problems are now gone and she lost a lot of weight and feels great. I have now helped many family and friends get rid of their health issues.

Immediately after this he started the NICE initiative, the Network of Influenza Care Experts where people with Influenza including Covid can enroll themselves by filling up a form and getting help with the diet, free of cost. There was no doubt in my mind and I immediately enrolled as a NICE Expert. Nice patients started enrolling by the thousands and we got a steady stream of patients from different countries including the US. Since I live in the US and the majority of patients were from India, due to the time difference, I was literally up most nights and early mornings were especially busy and the only time I got respite was in the late afternoon early evening and then the calls would start again.
