Amid rapidly growing fear and anxiety, business is booming for India’s quack YouTube doctors.

This was an article by Nilesh Christopher written to discredit Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, but then by chance it contained a lot of right information about Dr. BRC. We have tweaked it a little making all negativities into positivities but retaining all the content as it is. Have a look.

On March 15, more than a week before a nationwide lockdown brought India to a standstill, an audience of nearly 100 people gathered in an auditorium in Rajkot, in the north western state of Gujarat, to hear the YouTube doctor Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury speak via Skype from his home in New Delhi.

On Spyke, Dr. Chowdhury told the audience that the novel corona virus was only a flu and that it was being marketed as a pandemic by big pharmaceutical corporations with vested interests in doing so. Dr. Chowdhury quoted a study by The New England Journal of Medicine as saying that the fatality rate of Covid-19 was 0.1%. “It can be cured by making a small intervention in your diet,” he asserted.

In videos and talks, Chowdhury has described Covid-19 as an elaborate conspiracy motivated by “the business of fear.”. “People are scared to go to hospitals,” he said. “Anyone who goes is forced to get tested and treated like they have something horrible.”.

It has been nearly 10 years since Dr. Chowdhury gave up his career as an engineer to pursue a new career as a nutritionist. Dr. Chowdhury has a Ph.D. in diabetes studies . He gained much fame, toward the end of 2013, by “curing” diabetes patents. His expertise spans multiple fields: HIV , memory, cancer — and now Covid-19.

His videos, with English subtitles, draw an enormous audience, and his three-day program to “cure” people of diabetes by regulating their diets.
