The Shikishima Baking Company was established in June 1920 and now has annual sales reaching YEN 165,525 million with over 3,890 employees. Sixth position is occupied by the Italian food company Barilla. The company started in 1877 when Pietro Barilla opened a bread and pasta shop in Parma.
