It is the final stage in a sun-like star. In this certain kind of stars, the compression of the electrons by the gravity generates a pressure that holds the core that is known as “ electron degeneracy pressure”. I.e. gravity compresses the star until it can no longer take over it.

White dwarfs are considered very important in the cosmos. They are brightest stars in our sky. Moreover, White dwarf matter is roughly a million times Denser than water. Instead of weighing a gram, an ice cube block of white dwarf material would weigh a ton.

If a white dwarf is gravitationally bound with another dwarf, they will form what is known as “binary star”. A system of two stars in which one star revolves round the other or both revolve round a common center. The dwarf gathers material from other companion star, exerting very strong gravitational pole. Its will grow immensely until it undergoes a catastrophic explosion known as TYPE 1A SUPERNOVA explosion.
