If your bird has signs of illness, like refusal to eat, inability to move a limb or a limb is missing, bleeding, noticable tumors, beak misshape, or other signs, take your bird to the veteranarian ASAP. Birds of a kind are just basically birds of the same species type, like finches, parakeets, etc... So know which kind of bird you get:
House Finches are the best for young children ages 3+. Parakeets are best for people ages 12+. You get the rest.
