Leveraging Israel’s
technology to empower
India’s healthcare sector
The growing proximity between two nations throws open an
opportunity to leverage the progress Israel has made in science and
technology, for helping meet some of India’s own goals, particularly in

recent
visit to

marks a paradigm shift
in the India–Israel
relationship, that has
hitherto been guarded
by the former’s

Yet, keeping aside the
geopolitical factors

by an Indian premier
to Tel Aviv. The visit
that largely focused
on strengthening
economic, security

ties between the
two countries drew
significant attention
internationally, and
rightfully so.
As rightly captioned by
Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu,
the synthesis of
Israeli technology
and Indian talent
has the potential to
create unprecedented
progress in both
countries. It may
pave the way for
transformations
in innovation that
are already visibly
unfolding across
various sectors, which
could further elevate
India’s status as a
technological power,
and end up spurring
Silicon Valley-like
innovations right
here in the country.
Certainly, there is
more than one way to
collaborate, beyond
the ambit of military
technologies. The
most critical sector
that can benefit
from technological
partnerships today is
that of healthcare.
