Radha Rangarajan appointed as new director of CDRI , Lucknow
Dr . Radha Rangarajan has taken over as the director of CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute , Lucknow from September 05 , 2022 . Actively involved in translational research , Dr Rangarajan has contributed to product development in the public health arena for the last two decades . Working closely at the interface between academia , start-ups and industry , her experiences span the drug discovery , diagnostics and medical devices sectors .
Between 2003 and 2009 , Dr Rangarajan worked in the Drug Discovery division of Dr Reddy ’ s Laboratories in Hyderabad . Thereafter , she co-founded Vitas Pharma , a drug discovery and development company focused on novel therapies to treat infections . In 2020 , she took on the role of Chief Technology Officer at HealthCubed , a medical devices company , where she was responsible for product development , clinical validation , manufacturing and regulatory affairs .

Pratima Reddy joins as Managing Director of Merck Specialities
Merck has appointed Pratima Reddy as the Managing Director for Merck Specialities , the healthcare business of Merck KGaA , Darmstadt in India . Pratima has an extensive experience of over 17 years , with nine years in the pharmaceutical industry , including varied roles across functions in national and global teams since joining Merck in October 2013 . In addition , she headed the Oncology unit in the country , where she led the turnaround of the Oncology business by demonstrating the opportunity to drive strong growth via focused
access strategies .
Before taking over as the Managing Director of India Operations , Pratima was the Regional Franchise Leader ( RFL ) of the Cardiovascular , Metabolism and Endocrinology ( CM & E ) franchise in APAC . An active member of the APAC Leadership team , her efforts have ensured that the CM & E franchise continues to grow in the region and continues its market leadership despite market challenges .

As the Director and Practice Lead , Healthcare & Innovation Advisory at Sathguru Management Consultants , she leads company ’ s engagement with the global biopharma industry and stakeholders in healthcare . She has advised leading pharma companies on strategic growth planning , partnerships , technology access , and R & D prioritization .
