Marut Drones conducts farmer ’ s awareness sessions on AI & drones technologies

India ’ s leading drone manufacturer and service provider , Marut Drones was invited to participate in a day ’ s workshop on Stewardship and Innovative Technologies in Crop Protection at Regional Agricultural Research Station ( PJTSAU ), Warangal . The workshop came as a joint initiative by CropLife India and Foundation for Agriculture Sustainability and Transformation ( FAST ). Prem Kumar Vislawath from Marut Drones gave a session on ‘ Artificial Intelligence and Drone Technologies ’ and gave a perspective on the current drone technology landscape in the country and the way forward . The session was aimed at benefitting both the students and the stakeholders in agriculture research alike . The event was attended by students , researchers , academicians , and agriculturists .
ReshaMandi launches version 2.0 of its IoT device
ReshaMandi – the largest farm-to-fashion digital ecosystem for natural fibres in India – recently launched version 2.0 of its IoT device , an in-house creation aimed at stepping up technical assistance to farmers . IoT devices are provided to farmers who have partnered with Reshamandi as part of the platform ’ s overall product offering . The Resha Abhivruddhi package , which includes the new IoT device , offers farmers a monetary assurance in case of crop failure and an insurance as well . With a TFT display and a battery life of more than 48 hours with lower power consumption , this latest device is designed to monitor temperature and humidity . To connect to ReshaMandi ’ s main server , it has a dual SIM functionality that can support multiple network providers . A disease detection tool has been introduced in the mobile app to assist the farmers in analysing crops while sending personalised real-time advisories whenever required .
ICRISAT organizes conference on innovations to transform drylands
The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics ( ICRISAT ) has launched the ‘ Innovations to Transform Drylands Conference ’ – an international gathering of the world ’ s foremost dryland agrifood system experts to share new innovations to improve the lives of the poorest of the poor . The conference , scheduled from February 21 to 23 , 2023 at ICRISAT ’ s headquarters in India , will promote the latest advancements in agriculture , technology , and policy that can be scaled and utilized by policymakers to transform drylands into sustainable and productive ecosystems . The inaugural session of the conference was graced by S Niranjan Reddy , Agriculture Minister of the Government of Telangana , India , and Prof Ramesh Chand , Member of NITI Aayog , Government of India .
