It is a first in the world device, sensor-based, secretion management system which can functionally replace an ICU nurse. KEY MILESTONES OF INNACCEL • The company has commercially launched a product in Q4 of the year 2016 • Filed for one patent and exclusively licensed another • Received BIG and SBIRI grants from DBT in 2014 and 2016 • Received Lemelson foundation grant 2017 • Grown from 2 people to a team of 12 full time employees • Conducted innovation workshops with reputed educational institutes like JIPMER, AIIMS, St. Johns Medical College, NID and IIT Delhi. • Invested in and are currently innovating 2 promising start ups Sattva Medtech and Coeo Labs which will be launching products this year 30 BioVoiceNews | June 2017 The product is being developed with our partner company Coeo Labs and will be launched in the market in early 2017. Way forward The research and development team at InnAccel is also working on a Eustachian tube diagnostic and intervention device. It also plans to develop platform of minimally invasive products and are exploring solutions for problems like tracheal stenosis, salivary duct obstruction and lacrimal duct blockage. It is obvious that the company has set very high goals that are equally backed with experience, funds and talent. Aiming to foster the development of least 50 novel medical devices and diagnostics by 2020, InnAccel is optimistic about launching 25 critical medtech products in India by 2025. Given the presence of a highly passionate team that they have currently, their task though difficult but doesn’t seem impossible.
