Module Innovations has several achievements to its credit , including a 50 lakh grant from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council ( BIRAC ); Selection for the finale of the affordable healthcare India scheme by Wellcome Trust , UK , in collaboration with UMass , Amherst ; Selection for the IIM-A , CIIE healthcare accelerator . In its early days , company successfully raised investment of Rs 50 lakh from National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board ( NSTEDB ) and Rs 10 lakh from CIIEI , Indian Institute of Management ( IIM ) Ahmedabad as product development support . It also won the Unitus Seed Fund ’ s StartHealth-3 competition with a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs and an opportunity for fund upto 2 crore .
Among the numerous awards won by the company are Design Impact Awards ( DIA ) 2018 by Titan and Tata trusts ; Grand Challenges Canada ( GCC ) 2018 grant for improving women and child health in cervical
cancer ; and India Innovation Growth Program ( IIGP 2.0 ) - Winner organized by DST , Lockheed Martin and Tata Trusts 2017 .
In August 2017 , Module Innovations won a Discovery Award seed-funding grant that will help them develop their ideas further for the very prestigious £ 10 million Longitude Prize . In November 2017 , the company exhibited its pocket-sized chip for the rapid detection of UTI – Usense , at the UK ’ s prestigious Science Museum in London .
In June 2020 , the company raised upto US $ 3.2 Million from CARB-X towards developing a diagnostic test for Drug resistant Urinary Tract Infection ( UTI ) and their antimicrobial susceptibility . During Covid-19 pandemic , Module was funded by the Department of Science & Technology to work on point of care diagnostics to build up on its platform technology for rapid diagnosis of diseases to develop a product , nCoVSENSEs for detecting COVID 19 with a 10 to 15 minute test .
