Shah , founder and Chairman Emeritus of Hersha Hospitality Trust , who will be joining the Aarogya Tech Board . Within just a year of operation , Aarogya Tech has made remarkable strides , including the development of a disease -specific patient monitoring system to decrease chronic heart failure readmission rates . The infusion of new funds will accelerate product development , fortify the analytics , and machine learning team , and scale up the company ’ s product and growth teams to 20 + in Bengaluru .
Indian Cancer Society launches ‘ Rise Against Cancer ’ mobile app
The Indian Cancer Society ( ICS ), India ’ s largest anti-cancer NGO , commemorates World Cancer Day by unveiling its groundbreaking ‘ Rise Against Cancer ’ mobile app . Supported by Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre ( RGCIRC ) and Roche Products ( India ) Private Limited , the Made in India app aims to bridge gaps , foster awareness , and unite communities for a cancer-free future .
Speaking at the app launch Dr . Urvashi Prasad , Director of Niti Aayog and a distinguished public health professional , who is battling stage-4 lung cancer said , “ In the Asian and South Asian regions , the complexity of cancer becomes even more pronounced . With over 200 distinct diseases , many of us , even those deeply involved in health and medicine , are unaware of the breadth of its types and impacts . It ’ s unrealistic to expect widespread awareness among the general population without concerted efforts . This is why initiatives like the Rise Against Cancer app are so vital .”
