Agriculture Infrastructure Fund crosses Rs 30,000 crore mark of capital mobilization for projects
Within two-and-a-half years of the implementation of the
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund ( AIF ), the scheme has mobilized more than Rs 30,000 crore for projects in the agriculture infrastructure sector . The sanctioned amount under AIF is about Rs 15,000 crore . With support of 3 % interest subvention , credit guarantee support through CGTMSE for loan of upto Rs 2 crore and facility of convergence with other central and state government scheme , AIF is providing all around financial support to stakeholders . AIF is a financing facility launched on 8th July 2020 under the visionary guidance of the Prime Minister , Narendra Modi , for creation of post-harvest management infrastructure and community farm assets . Under this scheme , Rs 1 lakh crore is to be disbursed by financial year 2025-26 and the interest subvention and credit guarantee assistance will be given till the year 2032-33 .
India Cold Chain Conclave : Not even a single link should be missing in value chain
Speaking at the India Cold Chain Conclave organized by PHDCCI , Manoj Ahuja , Secretary , Ministry of Agriculture & farmers Welfare , mentioned that the cold chain
is one of the priority areas in the agriculture sector . Also , how crop was not just a product in itself but how it encompasses a whole value chain altogether . In case one element of the supply chain is missing then the whole end product stands damaged . In this light it was pertinent to focus on a resilient and strong cold chains network to enable a holistic development of the agriculture sector . Hemant Jain , Vice President , PHDCCI spoke about how a deep network of MSMEs and startups working in this sector has led to PHDCCI host first of its kind Conclave on cold chains .
