Healthcare Technology Management -
Information Systems
Healthcare Technology Management is an umbrella term that includes the professions, Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Equipment/Engineering Technology, and Healthcare Information Technologist. This enhanced skills program is designed for individuals wanting to learn more about the management of a department within healthcare that is technology based. Students will learn how to design Safety programs that follow accrediting body regulations. Students will learn how to manage the life cycle of healthcare technology from “cradle to grave”. Students will also be exposed to emerging technology topics and learn how to make decisions about that technology.
This program can be started as early as the first summer session alongside the AAS in Biomedical Engineering Technology. The Enhanced Skills Certificate is designed to be completed with the AAS.
With the new summer college momentum program, students who are full-time in the AAS can return the summer session immediately after their graduation spring semester and take two of the 4 courses, 6 credit hours, free of tuition.
