Andrés Lionel Messi was born in June 24 of 1987 in Rosario Argentina. All the people know him as the best football player. At the age of five he started playing in Newell´s Old Boys. In 2000 the doctor told to him that he had a problem in his coloum, but Newell´s Old Boys couldn´t afford his medicine. So in 2001 his father decided to go to Spain.

In Spain he went to a club called Barcelona. That club could pay the medicine so they stayed there. In 2004 he debuted in Barcelona. Then he became the best player.
By the age of 21, Messi had received Ballon d ´Or and Fifa World Player of the Year nominations. And then he won 3 more awards. Then he was the first football player in history to win four FIFA/Ballons d'Or, all of which he won consequetively, and the first to win three European Golden Shoe awards.
With Barcelona, Messi has won six La Ligas, two Copas del Rey, six Supercopas de España, three UEFA Champions Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups and two Club World Cups. At the age of 24, Messi became Barcelona's all-time top scorer in all official club competitions. At age 25, Messi became the youngest player to score 200 goals in La Liga.
