They say the third time is a charm. Although I don’t personally subscribe to cliché
sayings there is something undoubtedly charming about this third edition of
BimROCK Magazine.
Maybe that may have something to do with our cover feature on the lovely Zoé
Trotman, Miss Barbados World 2014; or perhaps the early morning drive through
the quaint neighbourhoods of St. Lucy for a dive (or two) off the North Coast with
our in-house chef. Maybe it’s both.
PUBLISHER’S
note
This edition of BimROCK was truly a testament to the character of my team members,
who I am sure, were tired from last month’s holiday activities but never the less
started the year with great enthusiasm. Kudos to you all!
February is a special month. It is unlike the other eleven months of the calendar
year. It is the month of love as well as the month chosen to celebrate Black history
and BimROCK Magazine has embraced the latter tradition in a fresh way.
This issue pays tribute to BLACK, without limitations to a race, colour, or cause. We
simply celebrate BLACK. However you decide to take that, and however you choose
to celebrate is up to you. Perhaps you can mix it with some of the love celebrations
that are also happening at this time. We might be on to something – black love.
I hope you enjoy the remaining pages of this publication compiled with love,
creativity and consciousness.
