The JK Tyre superbike championship was
coming up in 2015, and the male races were all
filling up forms when it clicked me that I also
want to participate. It was a very random
thought, but deep in my soul, I knew I wanted
to set out on the track in a more serious way
and challenge no one but my own beliefs. I raced that year with a decent position and
timing on the track. And after that race, there
was no looking back, as riding bikes and
practicing every month at the track had
become an experience. And I so look forward
to, also, started giving the best to my dental
work.
I got a Ducati Panigale 899 a few months
before the race and finally came alive as a
racer, racing with the men as the only female
racer in the 1000 cc category. It was a massive
challenge for me as people around me said
Neharika it's dangerous and why are you
risking your life, but the decision was already
made, and nothing was going to stop me, not
even my own fear. I always feel rejuvenated and happy and living
my life to the fullest. My search for making my
soul happy had finally ended as I knew
racing/biking was my true calling and passion
in life.
