THE INTERVIEW RITU KAUR By Bikers Club BC: How did you start riding? And how long have you been riding? RK: I went punjab for vacation when I was in school, I asked my cousin to drop me somewhere, he refused and I got angry, I was upset and thought to learn bikes. My cousin helped me to learn bikes. thats how it started. BC: How many bikes you own? Which is your favourite bike? Why? RK: I own two bike, one RE 500cc and impulse 150cc. I like RE the most, because I feel proud when I ride on RE. BC: Any particular bike you DISLIKE? RK: R1 5 Yamaha. I don't know why but I dislike that bike. BC: What made you want to ride a bike? Have you made any long distance trips with it yet? RK: Riding plus adventure is the great combination, and that was also one of the kick to learn bikes. My love for travel made me ride 3000 plus kms to Jammu & Kashmir from Baroda (Gujarat) in 2018. BC: How do you plan a new ride? What are the basic things you keep in your mind when you plan a new ride? And how do you select your routes? RK: Frankly I don't plan any rides.. when I feel like, I take my bike and hit the roads. The important thing which I care the most is to maintain my bike properly because breakdown of my bike should not restrict my passion for riding. BC: Any new long distance ride are you planning? RK: May be Leh-Ladakh in future. BC: What do you prefer SOLO ride or GROUP ride? Why? RK: Both but I like solo the most because I have a freedom and total control of my ride and most importantly I love to ride alone. BC: Most memorable ride till date and why? Who was with you at that time? RK: Jammu & Kashmir to Gujarat with all great riders from all over India It was great and fun riding with them. BC: Would you ride a different type of bike, i.e Cruiser if you have a Sport bike or Sport bike if you have a Cruiser? RK: Yes ! Mostly I have tried all types of bikes, sports as well as cruiser.
