So, I asked, "What's special
about this so called 5M
Mileage Boost technology
that you're talking about?
And he replied,
This technology offers up to 30%
more mileage with a simultaneous
20% boost in acceleration
laparoscopically, without the need
to open the engine!"
Now the last part is what really
surprised me. I just couldn't
believe it. I bluntly said that it was
impossible.
But he patiently explained how IC
Engines are incompetent in
turning fuel into distance travelled.
More than 80% of the energy is
lost due to friction, heat and other
factors. I tried to test his technical
knowledge, but he was thorough. I
understand that he's a guy who
knows what he's talking about.
However, It was only after more
than 3 weeks that i've finally
agreed to get my KTM Duke 200
Mileage Boosted. Before judging
him, I wanted to give this guy a
fair shot. We did a pre-test
mileage before the 5M Mileage
Boost and it gave an average of
35Km/L. The advantage with
KTM's Duke is its inbuilt on the
dash board, Real-time mileage
calculator & average mileage
calculator.

Mileage
Boost,
which
After
took about 45 minutes to
complete.
The first significant thing I noticed
when I started the bike was the
change in the engine noise. The
engine became smooth and
refined. The next significant
change was the remarkable spike
in acceleration.
But after a few days, I checked
the mileage again and this time
it shocked me even further.
A miracle again, 55Km/L !
So again, I took a pic of the
wonder:
The engine seemed and sounded
entirely new and completely
different.
While returning home after the
service, I checked the dashboard
and to my surprise, my bike was
now offering 49Km/L.
I immediately got off the road,
parked the bike, took out my
phone and shot this photo.
I sent the pic to him over
WhatsApp, evidently excited about
the gallons of fuel I'm going to
save. He replied back that it's just
getting started and the results are
more likely to be improved over
time. I simply thought he's crazy.
49 Km/L on a KTM Duke is itself
an amazing thing and I thought it
would be greedy to expect more.
Finding a good stretch of a
lonely road is a rare event in
the traffic synonymous city of
Hyderabad. But one afternoon
I did. As I was enjoying the
pleasure of the ride on the
unusually lonely road, I got
reminded to check the mileage.
Finally, to my utter surprise
again, Lo and behold!
58Km/L !!!
