The 15th of March 2017 was the day I knew my life had changed ! ROAD STORIES : RIDE TO BE ONE - CHAPTER 1 FIRST LEG - PART 1 INDIA by DR. MARAL YAZARLOO - PATTRICK When I decided to embark on 'Ride To Be One', I knew what I was signing up for, but had absolutely no idea of what to expect! I knew I would be spending 24 hours a day for the next 18 months with a new person who I didn't know too well; coupled with the uncertainty on the roads of the world where anything could happen, anywhere and at anytime! The only thing I was sure about was that "I will never give up". I made a promise to myself that, everyday I would strive to make a better person, learn something new and practise it well. As the date of our flag-off got closer, everyone kept asking me if I was ready? Packed? Checked? But all that was really important to me was to ready my mind to the fact that I was actually leaving! All other things could very easily be managed. The 15th of March arrived. It was a nice early morning like many other mornings of my life. But that morning was a little different. I was in a daze, with my mind still digesting the fact that I was leaving for 18 months. Having a strong and supportive family is the best thing anyone could wish for. I am lucky and thankful that I have one, and I pray that some day I will create one for myself too. I mounted my bike and headed towards Mumbai, with Mom, Milad and Pourya following me in the car; and Frankie and Devil (Rakesh) accompanying me on the bike.
